German Business Development Executive

 

Job Description:

The candidate will be working with the managing director to develop and secure sales distribution in Germany. One will develop and implement a marketing and sales plan that will successfully launch the company’s services into the German market based on an undertaken research.

Key responsibilities and task will include: 

  • Review reports and previous researches in order to develop a marketing and sales strategy for Germany
  • Target key distributors and identify the potential partners
  • Approach, arrange and participate in meetings with target distributors in order to establish an agency/distributor relationship
  • Identify and attend exhibitions to promote the company’s services.
  • Participate in the negotiation with agencies and distributors during contract arrangements
  • Maintain the relationships through regular telephone, Skype and face to face meetings the relationship to ensure that within the first year of appointment, the agency/distributor is performing to the agreed plan and terms of business
  • Prepare monthly reports about the performance of the agency/distributor, highlighting successes and any concerns 
  • Develop a new media campaign with the agency/distributor to assist in selling the services across Germany
  • Carry out any other duties as required by the MD within the scope of Export development

Essential requirements:

  • Excellent English skills both verbal and written
  • Written and verbal proficiency in German
  • Has either background in or is studying Business & Marketing 
  • Good IT skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Flexible, courteous, friendly and has positive outlook and approach
  • Shows discretion, confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Desirable attributes: 

  •  Able to work in own initiative
  • Excellent phone sales manner
  • Previous commercial experience helpful

  • Located near Wetherby in West Yorkshire, the company provides a range of reconditioning services to a diverse range of engineering sectors including aerospace, automotive, oil, gas, nuclear, marine, rail and general engineering subcontractors.
  • The business is present in seven European countries and it continues to seek new opportunities overseas. 

Location:

  • Wetherby is a market town within the City of Leeds metropolitan borough, in West Yorkshire.

Remuneration details:

  •  A training allowance of £700 per month will be provided to assist with accommodation and subsistence costs.
